3 Reds Minor Leaguers Suspended for Drugs

….and the hits keep on coming….

From MSNBC.com:

NEW YORK (AP) -Three Cincinnati Reds minor leaguers were suspended 50 games each Monday after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

All three players were part of the Reds’ Dominican summer league teams. Pitchers Jonathan Correa and Elvin Silvestre were penalized for using Boldenone and outfielder Cesar Colmenares tested positive for Nandrolone.

This organization is out of control. Remember Ryan Jorgenson was suspended 50 games last season for testing positive for drugs on September 27, 2007.

Couple this with yesterday’s Dunn trade and you have an organization that is showing a lack of a coherent message to fans, players, and the rest of Major League Baseball.
